Leaders and Teams
When it comes to poor performance, companies usually point to two things: teams aren’t reaching their full potential or leaders aren’t delivering results.
Workshop Offering: The Nature of Ledership
Developing Leaders Who Deliver Results
A leader’s principle responsibilities are to protect and enhance shareholder value. Being a leader requires being committed to personal mastery, teamwork, collaboration, and assuring the success of others.
But positions of leadership come with obligations. These obligations include support of colleagues with honest feedback; personal commitment to the effectiveness of their teams; fulfillment of team membership obligations; and development of the people in the organization, including them, to make everyone’s contribution more effective and satisfying.
Our work supports a leader meeting the obligations of leadership and achieving their goals and business objectives. These include customer satisfaction, profitability, and team effectiveness. We develop an itinerary that includes regular one-on-one coaching sessions, observation of the leader in action, and meetings with colleagues and direct reports.
With a truly effective leader, the entire company benefits: enhanced motivation and productivity, meeting or exceeding projected numbers, and increased dedication to the success of others.
Red Barn will help you with:

Developing High Performing Teams
High performance teams are those that are able to focus on and deliver results that meet their customers’ requirements.
High performance teams share the following characteristics (taken from “The Wisdom of Teams”, by Jon R. Katzenbach and Douglas K. Smith): “…a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, performance goals, and approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable.”
We create a development plan with the team and its leader based on an assessment of current skills, areas of difficulty and customer requirements. Our process includes observing team meetings, individual and team level coaching, and work with the team leader.
This process achieves and sustains superior performance and develops strong team-based relationships.
